Open-Xchange partners with Voiceworks to create WebRTC based Solution for efficient and more Secure peer to peer chat, voice and video Communications
ALMERE, Netherlands, and NUREMBERG, Germany, February 17, 2014 – Open-Xchange, maker of messaging, collaboration and office productivity software and Voiceworks, the leading VoIP provider in the Netherlands, have joined forces to develop real-time communication products and services that service providers are demanding to grow their Cloud and SaaS portfolios. In the race to develop, support and connect new workflows between individuals – creating and editing documents, sharing photos and experiences and communicating via chat, voice and video—the partnership is focused on giving service providers revenue-generating products they can white label and immediately deploy.
One of the first products will be a browser-based instant messaging, voice and video chat application that is integrated into the Open-Xchange flagship product, OX App Suite. The real-time communication (”RTC”) functionality allows service providers to brand their own peer-to-peer, group chat features to their customers using any mobile or desktop device. Current OX App Suite partners can offer users a choice between email or real-time communications– depending on the context–with as little effort as possible, offering seamless switching between different channels of communication.
