Priti Suri

My name is Priti Suri and I have been working for Voiceworks since February 2015. I was invited to the introduction evening at Voiceworks and I took the job gladly, as I liked the work and the environment, which was informal and friendly. I also like the dynamic culture of Voiceworks and the challenge that my job brings. There are people from 10 different nationalities; this adds a nice flavor to the company.
Within my current position as Quality Assurance Engineer, I am responsible for Quality Assurance and tasks related to new version release. Also I am working on EWAN projects with the Infra Squad Team. My first priority is to make sure the right things are being developed and made available for testing. I am in close contact with the product owners, product managers, and the developers throughout the entire process. I talk to the product owners to make sure I understand their needs and, based on this discussion, I write the test cases that need to be executed as part of the feature verification. Once everything is done, I make sure the release is executed in the right way, along with updated release notes to complete the work. As a QA Engineer, I also give product demos at times to customers (inside and outside of company), introducing them to the new features in the release, and getting feedback for future releases.

Development Department (Almere)

The Department is mainly responsible for creating new software. We are also responsible for troubleshooting any customer problems, and we provide all the IT Software that is the backbone of the company.
A normal day begins more or less with a ‘standup’. Depending on the tickets I have to deal with, I need to talk to Developers or product owners to make sure the correct product is being developed and sent to customers.  Every 2 weeks, we run a planning session to plan for the upcoming sprint. We maintain a similar schedule for retrospective meetings, where we explore the results and any findings from the last sprint.
The team I work with is friendly and co-operative and is the backup that you need in any situation. They encourage learning and provide the resources to make sure that your knowledge keeps growing.
