Voiceworks hosts Continuous Delivery Amsterdam meetupMeer weten?
Thursday, February 21st, Voiceworks will be hosting the next edition of the Continuous Delivery meetup. This meetup consists of two separate speakers who will both be sharing some of their own insight and experiences in the world of business. The two main topics that will be touched upon are Testing on Production, deep backend edition and Gitlab. Doors open at 5.30pm so be sure to join us then. Afterwards there will still be plenty of opportunities to share knowledge with other attendees or gain knowledge yourself!
#1 Mykola Gurov – bol.com – Testing on Production, deep backend edition
The first speaker is Mykola Gurov, currently employed at bol.com. He’s a java backend developer and likes to call himself full-stack. Mykola has a strong interest in CI/CD and he’s also very much intrigued by helping certain things move as fast as possible while still being as efficient as possible.
During his talk, Mykola will be talking about his experience of “shifting to the right” testing within the back-end systems at bol.com. His talk mainly concerns the domains of logistics, finance and purchasing where complicated issues might occur.
#2 Hans Donner – Mijndomein.nl – Gitlab, why we chose it and where we ended up
After a relatively short break the second speaker, Hans Donner, Lead Ops at Mijndomein.nl will join you to talk about their new CI/CD setup with Gitlab CI and kubernetes. He’ll also explain where Gitlab eventually led them so be sure to stick around for this very informative and interesting talk.

About Continuous Delivery Group
This Group will bring software people together to share ideas and experience in the domain of Continuous Delivery. Continuous Delivery addresses the entire software delivery pipeline – from CI to testing to deployment to release – and addresses technology, process and organization. Anything within that domain will be in scope for our Group. The Group shares concerns with other Groups – DevOps, Agile,Puppet/Chef, Cloud, Selenium, etc. – and will be complementary to them. But we’ll talk about the delivery pipeline as a system, rather than going deep into the details of specific technologies. And we’ll emphasize topics that directly translate into making software delivery more “continuous.” This is the Amsterdam chapter of a set of Continuous Delivery groups in different cities around the world. We’ll do our best to share speakers and content across the groups, so we can all learn from a wider community.
There are parking spots all around the building. Alternatively, there’s also a parking lot at the Gamma building nearby which provides plenty of parking spots. If you do park at the Gamma building, please make sure to park at the far end of the parking lot because we still want to leave room for any Gamma customers that want to park in front of the Gamma entrance.
